Meghan has been a Registered Nurse for over 15 years and was an EMT before that. She specializes in Acute Care (Telemetry, Observation Tele, Floated to ICU, CICU, ER, and Med/Surg) along with Acute Rehab, Outpatient Wound Care, Cardiac Rehab, Outpatient Cardiology and Home Infusions.
While taking care of patients over the years, she has enjoyed being able to educate patients that were in the hospital so that maybe it could have prevented them from coming back for the same or even new medical illnesses or diseases. Too many times patients would come in without knowing they even had a problem in the first place, and were newly diagnosed with diabetes, atrial fibrillation, hypertension or other chronic diseases. Sometimes, it wasn’t until after they had a stroke or a heart attack that they realized there was an issue in the first place. Prevention has always been the key goal so we don’t have to see these patients in the hospital again, but the number of heart attacks, strokes and diabetes are rising which proves that not enough is being done for prevention.
She looks forward to helping the community!
